Apple Will Stream The WWDC 2014 Keynote Live On June 2

Apple will be streaming this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on June 2 at 10 AM PT, the company announced today. Apple only sometimes streams live video of its special events, and never announces its intent to do so this far in advance, so this is an interesting development.

Apple doesn’t say what’s going to be on the docket at the show, but it does say that it’ll be making “exciting announcements.”. We can imagine Apple will announce and preview Mac OS X 10.10 and iOS 8 and some hardware upgrade, as well.

Rumors suggest we could see news from Apple regarding health tracking and home automation platforms.

Live streaming video requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.
